Calendar for 2006

May 18th: Workshop led by Jeanne. A version of a scrap quilt. For more info, send us a note.

June 1st: Regular Business Meeting. Also stay and work on your scrap quilt.

June 15th: Trip to Sedalia to quilt shops and lunch. More info at business meeting.

July 6th: Regular business meeting.

July 20th: Silk Ribbon Embroidery Class - class postponed to August 3rd.

August 3rd: Business Meeting followed by Silk Embroidery Class.

August 10: Volunteers will meet 10 am at Hope Lutheran Chapel to start organizing the storage area in preparation for our move to a different meeting location.

August 17th: Flannel charity quilt workshop - please bring any light colored flannel you wish to donate, your sewing supplies and sewing machine and any old rick-rack you want to get rid of.

September 7: Business meeting at our new location. Flannel and other fabrics were kitted for members to complete at home.

September 21: Quilt Show at Springfield Expo Center

October 5: Business meeting: Some flannel charity quilts were completed and will be stored until all are completed.

October 19: We will make a "BOO" Placemat. The sample was solid orange quilted with orange thread. Bring 1/2 yard of fabric for one placemat, marking pen, batting, and sewing machine with a free motion foot.

November 2: Business meeting

November 16: Postcard Extravaganza! Led by Judy
Bring assorted scraps of fabric, a 4" x 6" piece for the background, some fun threads, ribbon, trims, etc. and your sewing machine. Judy will bring the Peltex and fusibles and an assortment of postcards she has made.

December 7: Annual Christmas Potluck at Pat's home.
Bring a $10 gift to exchange, canned goods, 1 Fat Quarter for Bingo prize, your fabric Bingo card (instructions below), and a covered dish - Pat will prepare a ham.

Materials for 1 (10 1/2") card --
Each fabric must be from one of the following categories: batik, floral, geometric, heart, leaf, metallic, holiday, novelty, paisley, plaid, solid, star, stripe, or 1930s print.

Cut 5 (2 1/2") squares assorted green prints
Cut 5 (2 1/2") squares assorted blue prints
Cut 4 (2 1/2") squares assorted pink or purple prints plus 1 black (free square)
Cut 5 (2 1/2") squares assorted red prints
Cut 5 (2 1/2") squares assorted yellow or orange prints
Each color group represents 1 column of your Bingo card - example below.
